Research infrastructures

In 2018, the University of Pavia financed the purchase of 12 pieces of equipment through the Scientific Equipment Acquisition Plan (PASS) for a total value exceeding 8.5 million Euros. All the equipment has been acquired, and the refurbishment works for the dedicated spaces have been completed, resulting in the establishment of 6 new laboratories, 4 of which are managed by the University's Large Instruments Center (CGS).

The Facilities
  1. Molecular, Cellular, and Tissue Imaging Laboratory, including Optical Microscopy and Cryo-Electron Microscopy (Section of the CGS located at Botta 2, via Ferrata, 5).
  2. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Imaging Laboratory (MRI scanner) and Micro X-ray Tomography for Small Animals (Located at the University's Animal Facility Radiobiology Laboratory).
  3. NMR Spectroscopy Laboratory at the CGS headquarters.
  4. Mass Spectrometry Laboratory at the CGS headquarters.
  5. Computing Cluster (System management).
  6. 3DMetal@UniPV Laboratory, at the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture (DICAR).
