Research infrastructures
In 2018, the University of Pavia financed the purchase of 12 pieces of equipment through the Scientific Equipment Acquisition Plan (PASS) for a total value exceeding 8.5 million Euros. All the equipment has been acquired, and the refurbishment works for the dedicated spaces have been completed, resulting in the establishment of 6 new laboratories, 4 of which are managed by the University's Large Instruments Center (CGS).
The Facilities
- Molecular, Cellular, and Tissue Imaging Laboratory, including Optical Microscopy and Cryo-Electron Microscopy (Section of the CGS located at Botta 2, via Ferrata, 5).
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Imaging Laboratory (MRI scanner) and Micro X-ray Tomography for Small Animals (Located at the University's Animal Facility Radiobiology Laboratory).
- NMR Spectroscopy Laboratory at the CGS headquarters.
- Mass Spectrometry Laboratory at the CGS headquarters.
- Computing Cluster (System management).
- 3DMetal@UniPV Laboratory, at the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture (DICAR).
