Research projects
EUROPEAN PROJECTS (ERC, MSCA, Horizon Europe, H2020, LIFE)
The University of Pavia traditionally possesses strong attractiveness and management capabilities in research funding. Within the framework of the Horizon Europe and Horizon 2020 programs, UNIPV hosts:
- 24 Marie Sklodowska-Curie actions (7 ITN, 3 DN, 8 IF/PF, and 6 RISE, of which 14 are still ongoing) totaling €6.5 million.
- 15 European Research Council grants (9 Starting, 3 Consolidator, 2 Advanced, and 1 Proof of Concept, 9 of which are still active) totaling €18 million.
- 61 collaborative projects totaling €21 million.
The most significant initiatives in which UNIPV is involved include the Human Brain Project, 3 ENIAC JTI projects, 1 Innovative Medicine Initiative, 2 European Innovation Council projects (1 Transition and 1 Pathfinder), 6 LIFE projects, 1 Connecting Europe Facility-Telecom, and the PERISCOPE project (recently funded with over €10 million to conduct research on the socio-economic consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic). Additionally, the University participates in international consortia funded by the JTI ECSEL Joint Undertaking, 4 ECSEL, 5 FET, and the CONCERT consortium (European Joint Programming).
NATIONAL PROJECTS
UNIPV will participate in 9 projects funded under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, including:
