Technology transfer and training
The University of Pavia promotes direct contact between its graduates and institutions and companies through internships and placement.
Unique in the national panorama, the University of Pavia offers master's degree programs plus, characterized by a special educational path that allows students to spend two semesters in the reality at companies or other partner organizations of the project.
The university can activate, in collaboration with even foreign companies, engaged in qualified and documented research and development activities, Industrial Doctorates on research topics that give particular importance to promoting economic development and productive systems. Collaboration is governed by specific agreements that regulate coordination for research activities and their implementation within the company, as well as mechanisms for promoting technology transfer and developing research results.
Calls for applications for industrial doctoral courses may allocate a portion of the available positions, subject to passing the relevant selection, to employees of companies or affiliated entities engaged in highly qualified activities that involve maintaining salary conditions (PhD Executive).
Furthermore, companies and public and private entities can finance scholarships for doctoral programs, based on specific agreements with the University or the relevant Departments, even by identifying specific research topics.
