The Master’s Degree Program in Government, Administration and Territory (GATe), delivered mainly online, provides specific skills related to the structure and functioning of public institutions from a multilevel perspective, as well as to the processes of development, implementation and evaluation of public policies.
The program focuses both on the organisational and decision-making dimension of public administrations and on their relations with private actors, with particular attention to the digital transition. GATe therefore provides students with the skills needed to engage with the institutional architecture at different levels of government, including the European Union, the State, Regions and Local Authorities. It offers strong preparation for professional careers in public administration at local, national and European level, as well as in private organisations that interact with the public sector.
The program belongs to the class of Public Administration Sciences (LM-63) and aims to offer highly multidisciplinary training, with courses in the legal, economic-managerial, political-social-organisational, and mathematical-statistical-IT fields.
Students will be able to integrate the theoretical and methodological tools provided by the different disciplines in order to understand and manage processes of change and innovation in public and private organisations, as well as complex public policy processes.
