Other short mobility opportunities
The short-term mobility programmes offered by the EC2U Alliance provide training and international cooperation opportunities for students, doctoral students, lecturers and technical-administrative staff at partner universities.
These are short-term mobility programmes aimed at participation in intensive academic activities such as short courses, blended intensive programmes (BIPs), thematic workshops, summer/winter schools, training activities and staff training.
The main objective is to promote integration between the Alliance universities, support the internationalisation of training courses and contribute to the construction of a shared European campus based on innovation, inclusion and sustainability.
Every year, the EC2U Alliance organises the EC2U Forum to bring together students, staff, citizens, local and regional authorities in order to promote open dialogue on pressing social issues and share good practices.
The EC2U Forum organises special round tables dedicated to the exchange of guidelines on challenges in higher education (implementation of the Bologna Process, student and staff mobility, creation of the European Diploma, etc.): key players in the field are invited, including the European Commission (DG EAC), members of the Coimbra Group of Universities and other Alliances.
The next edition of the EC2U Forum will be held in Turku, Finland. You can find more information on the website.
Scholarship and support
Selected students will receive a grant funded by EC2U, which will cover travel, accommodation and meals for 6 days. Participation in the Forum and various activities is free of charge.

Information Sheet
EC2U Entrepreneurial Weeks offer students from all disciplines the opportunity to develop entrepreneurial skills through online learning and immersive international experiences. Participants collaborate in intercultural teams, explore innovation across Europe and join a network of alumni who offer support for future initiatives.
We apply the broadest definition: entrepreneurship is when you act on opportunities and ideas, turning them into value for others. If you want to learn more about entrepreneurship, start with the easily accessible online lessons. You could also sign up for the simulation game to improve your intercultural teamwork skills.
In a second phase, you can apply for one of the Entrepreneurial Weeks organised by one of the nine EC2U universities. EC2U students come together for a few days to celebrate transdisciplinary innovation, intercultural teamwork and entrepreneurial experiences.
By participating in online learning opportunities in advance, you will increase your chances of being selected for a travel grant.
Former Entrepreneurial Weeks students can participate in follow-up activities. Virtual meetings between former students help cultivate student networks and create a supportive community for early entrepreneurial steps.
The Student Event is a unique opportunity for students who are part of the EC2U Alliance to meet, network, exchange ideas, collaborate and participate in various sporting and cultural activities.
The latest edition of the Student Event took place in Pavia.
How do you learn to become a global citizen? This was the central question of the EC2U Student Event 2025, which brought together over seventy students from ten European universities in Pavia for three days. The event, held from 7th to 9th October, brought together students from Poitiers, Coimbra, Salamanca, Jena, Linz, Turku, Iași and Umeå, along with a delegation from Ivan Franko University in Lviv (Ukraine), an associate partner of the Alliance.

A Summer or Winter School is a period of a few days during which students meet for an intensive learning experience on a specific subject, either physically at one of the EC2U universities or online.
While learning new methodologies and tools, students can also learn more about another culture and country through various activities aimed at creating a more united European community. Travel expenses and daily allowances are generally covered by the EC2U Alliance for physical mobility.
The latest event was in Jena, Germany: in the second week of October, the EC2U autumn school “Geographic Data Science for Sustainability” offered four days of lectures and laboratory courses on cutting-edge machine learning techniques for geospatial and environmental analysis and modelling, as well as a field trip to the Dohlenstein landslide.
