Educational goals
The degree course in Economics and Company Legislation aims to equip professionals with a high level of specialist skills and knowledge, capable of managing planning, control, collection and reporting to third parties of data concerning management performance and results. Graduates will also be equipped to interpret corporate, economic and legal changes, as they occur, and will have acquired the cognitive and intellectual skills to build on and update their acquired understanding and knowledge. The learning goals of the degree course in Economics and Company Legislation are: - to provide students with the appropriate economic, mathematical and financial tools to plan, control and collect data concerning management results, and necessary to successfully pursue managerial positions in administration, finance and internal auditing; - to provide a sound economic, legal and technical grounding so as to enable the graduate to work either in administration, auditing or management control, or as freelancers, in accordance with the procedures laid down by the law. - to equip students with the appropriate political economy tools and related methods which, together with their previously acquired corporate, economic, mathematical, financial and legal knowledge, will give them an interdisciplinary understanding of the relevant subjects. - to prepare students in a foreign language to intermediate level. The course is divided into four semesters. The first two semesters include compulsory modules in politics, economics, mathematics, finance and law. The aim is to consolidate the interdisciplinary methodological grounding while keeping the specificity of the degree programme chosen. Semesters three and four offer students the opportunity to choose among a wide range of core and related modules. At the end of the course, students will be required to write a personal research dissertation and to discuss it in front of an academic commission. The degree course in Economics and Company Legislation aims to provide students with the following skills and competences: - an ability to prepare, analyse (read and interpret) and audit financial and consolidated financial statements of companies in different sectors; - an ability to identify and manage the distinctive legal and operational features typical of listed companies with particular attention to issues connected to governance; - a mastery of the financial, legal and fiscal tools to analyse major financial operations; - an ability to devise and apply advanced planning and control systems for reporting economic and financial data needed to make decisions. The degree course aims to provide training for the following occupations: - managers and consultants working in administration and finance in public and private companies operating in different economic environments with an awareness of the multiple interconnections between economic and legal issues; - freelance consultants in accounting, financial reporting and corporate governance equipped with strong interdisciplinary knowledge; - professional experts in auditing and management control.

Professional accountants and auditors, once all the obligations in terms of articles and national exam for the professional qualification have been complied with.
Admission requirements
To be admitted to the master's degree program, the student must hold a bachelor's degree (including degrees obtained under the regulations prior to D.M.509/1999 and subsequent amendments and integrations) or a three-year university diploma, or another foreign qualification recognized as suitable by the competent authorities of the University. Additionally, admission requires meeting curricular requirements and having adequate initial preparation. The curricular requirements consist of the competencies and knowledge acquired by the student in their previous educational path, expressed in terms of credits related to specific scientific-disciplinary sectors indicated in the Didactic Regulations. The latter also defines the procedures for verifying the adequacy of the student's initial preparation.
