The Degree Program in Mathematics provides students with a solid foundation in university-level mathematics, with particular attention to the interdisciplinary aspects, motivations and applications that are becoming increasingly relevant in today’s scientific context.
The proposed curriculum includes a broad common core for all students, carefully balanced across the different areas of mathematics.
Courses are designed to help students acquire a good command of the fundamental concepts and methods of the main mathematical theories, with a focus on their basic and educationally formative aspects. At the same time, the program encourages students to develop awareness of how a mathematical problem can be approached and solved.
The skills and experience gained during the program can be effectively applied to further study in advanced Master’s Degree Programs in Mathematics, to entry into the labour market, possibly after completing a more professionally oriented first-level Master’s program, or as a disciplinary foundation for Master’s Degree Programs in scientific or economic fields where Mathematics plays a significant role.
