The Dental Hygiene Degree Program trains graduates who:
Carry out dental health education activities and participate in oral disease prevention projects based on the indications of dentists and oral surgeons.
Collaborate in the compilation of dental clinical records and the collection of technical-statistical data.
Perform tartar removal, root planing, and topical application of various pharmacological agents in collaboration with the dentist.
Provide instruction on oral hygiene methods and the use of diagnostic tools suitable for detecting bacterial plaque.
