The Dental Hygiene Degree Program trains graduates who:

• Carry out dental health education activities and participate in oral disease prevention projects based on the indications of dentists and oral surgeons.
• Collaborate in the compilation of dental clinical records and the collection of technical-statistical data.
• Perform tartar removal, root planing, and topical application of various pharmacological agents in collaboration with the dentist.
• Provide instruction on oral hygiene methods and the use of diagnostic tools suitable for detecting bacterial plaque.
