Degree course change
The degree course change request is only for students enrolled at the University of Pavia and allows students to change their current degree course.
- Request for open-access bachelor's degree courses for all academic years:
May 15 - October 3, 2024
October 4 - December 15, 2024 with a late fee
- Request for open-access master's degree courses for all academic years:
May 15 - October 3, 2024
October 4 - March 31, 2025 with a late fee
- Request for restricted-access courses:
Check the times and methods specified in the respective competition notices.
You need to submit the course transfer application online from the Student Portal> Career > Course Change.
You will need to declare in the procedure the exams for which you are requesting validation in the new course.
At the end of the procedure, a payment of €16,00 for the virtual stamp duty will be generated, it must be paid to confirm your intention to proceed with the request.
Before applying for a transfer, please check:
- To have correctly recorded in the academic record all the exams taken, as once the transfer application is submitted, it will no longer be possible to perform any academic activities in the course being abandoned.
- That you are up to date with the payment of fees for previous academic years.
- That you have paid the first installment of the academic year in which you are making the request, for the course you wish to abandon.
(Note: If the first installment of the new academic year is not yet present in your reserved area, interested students should request through FiloDiretto the generation of the fixed fee of €156,00. For numerically restricted courses, check the payment methods for the installment in the respective competition notices.)
Once the application is submitted and the €16 stamp duty is paid:
- If you are enrolled in the first year, the offices will proceed to change your course of enrollment.
- If you have been enrolled for at least one year and have not requested a career evaluation, the offices will forward the application to the competent Teaching Council, which will decide on the recognition of credits (except for internal transfers within the Law Department courses, which do not require the Teaching Council's evaluation).
Within 30 days of receiving the application, the offices will send the decision to the student's university email and change the enrollment, assigning you to the first year of the new course. - If you have been enrolled for at least one year and have requested a career evaluation, the offices will change your course of enrollment, assigning you to the approved academic year and then proceeding to validate the exams.
ATTENTION: With the course transfer request alone, you will remain enrolled in the first year with the possible validation of the exams taken. If you are interested in accessing subsequent years, make sure to request a career evaluation before applying for a transfer.
